Cst. James Forcillo Toronto Police Service – was 6 years justice?

Everyone is well aware of the story of Sammy Yatim, and what can only be described as an unlawfully death. The Crown, as usual and in an attempt to prove ‘transparancy’ charged his aggresor, serving TPS officer Forcillo with 2nd Degree Murder, and attempted murder. The second degree charge was an overreach at best, a more applicable charge would’ve been manslaughter. Yesterday, Cst. Forcillo was sentenced to 6 years incarceration, and will already be in court today applying for bail whilst his legal team run through numerous, nonsensical appeals.

Was the charging decision correct and the sentence appropriate?
